The Brief//
We have worked with the John Smith Memorial Trust for a number of years now. The Trust does great work with the brightest young minds from the emerging countries of the former Soviet Union, and our brief is to communicate the work of the Trust.
Their materials did not communicate the excellence of the programme, the high calibre of the alumni, Trustees and guest lecturers. With the finest minds in UK law, government and media taking part, it was felt that the Trust would benefit from great photography, and polished communications.
Solution//
McConville Wellburn has built up an in-depth understanding of the Trust and its specialised work over a number of years, and by knowing the audiences well, have produced materials that reflect the terrific work carried out by the Trust, in a sympathetic, personal and engaging way.
We focused on creating the annual report within a tight budget, but with good quality photography, design and quality papers giving a substantial feel to the document. This was a serious subject, with a weighty cast, but the addition of personable photography of the people involved engaged in learning and interaction lifted the subject matter and engaged the reader.
Results//
