All roads lead to Baku

November 2011

EASST Brochure When Azerbaijan won the Eurovision song contest I thought nothing of it. I had a tenuous relationship with Baku - having visited it for a few days work back in 2007. It is the only place I had ever seen cars driving at speed along a pavement in rush hour, (apart from in American movies of course).

Then I discovered that the singer of that song Nikki (you all knew that, didn't you) is to be an ambassador for the road safety campaign in Azerbaijan and a supporter of our client EASST (Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport), a charity which promotes road safety in the former Soviet Union. She has even made a video supporting seat belt wearing.

EASST came to us with a particular problem. They wanted to have a brochure, but one they could easily carry around Europe to the various locations they work in. Our solution is an eight page A3 roll fold which is easy to carry and store, and which will be robust enough to take the punishment of air travel in a suitcase.

Sometimes a solution can be pleasing because of its simplicity and function. This is certainly the case with the new EASST brochure which is packed with information in a surprisingly compact form. The paper quality and good design give it the authority we could not compromise on.

"Creative MW are talented designers who can turn their hands to any web design challenge." says Emma Maclennan, Director at the Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport. "Their designs speak clearly and directly to people. They are simply great to work with."
